How I got from a hometown to here
Singing songs on the edge of this stage

All I know is I don’t understand
In hindsight, in photographs, right where I am

Sometimes it’s white-knuckle fists screamin’ at the sky in my bedroom
The face of a mountain that I’m dead set on climbin’
Or one way to freedom you take when you find it

But there’s some things that I understand
In hindsight, in photographs, right where I am

It’s given me a tremendous perspective on humility
If we forget the past, we forfeit the present
And we don’t prepare for the future
Faith is the assurance of things hoped for
The confidence of things not seen
Where I am now and where I want to go in the future
So when we look back over our life

Providence is the hand of God
